Workshop with Jenny Bird & Sarah Gornall

10 November 2016
South West Coaching and Mentoring Pool – The Holiday Inn, Taunton (M5, Junction 25)

This lively 90 minute workshop will introduce you to the use of drawings, diagrams and visual images in coaching, through explanation, demonstration and experimentation.  Jenny Bird and Sarah Gornall will share insights, models and methods to support great coaching practice in the interest of greater clarity and focus for the client.

Touching on neuro-science, trusted management models and in-the-moment creations, this workshop will give you fun as well as food for thought.

Jenny and Sarah have worked together in a variety of contexts both in the UK and abroad and are the co-authors of “The Art of Coaching: A Handbook of Tips and Tools” (Rutledge 2015), described by Professor Erik de Haan (Ashridge Business School) as “compelling… fun… and comprehensive”.

Comfortable With Stretch at Work

This is an opportunity for leaders and managers to explore what keeps us in our comfort zone, limiting our performance, perspectives and potential and to experiment with ways to get into the stretch zone.

What comfort zone, stretch and panic feel like to you
Where your boundaries are now and how you might grow them
What assumptions you are making when you play safe
How you might choose to experiment and get stretchier!

Leadership Development in Practice

NHS London Leadership Academy – Leadership Summit

Tuesday 22 March 2016 – Double Tree Hilton, Tower of London Hotel EC3N 4AF 08:00 – 17:00

Strand 3 11:30 – 12:30 Creativity in Coaching: Art in Action

Jenny will be facilitating this workshop about freeing up creativity in our coaching, shifting thinking and opening up new possibilities. Taking a puzzle, query or thought out of our heads as a diagram or model, liberates brain space to process and think more creatively. We will cover what neuroscience and our experience tell us about uncluttering the brain and how drawing helps coach and client to sit alongside, exploring an issue together to gain new perspectives. You will have an opportunity to experiment with this approach to supporting clients’ learning.
